This week whilst working on various cars in the Werkshop, Chris our resident painter has been tweaking some of the panels on a golf Mk5 GTI. We have had this car through our doors a few times in the past,previous mods include KW suspension, G-werks Carbon air intake, G-werks Remap and a Milltek exhaust system. This appointment was for body work. We had decided to detail the car with some gloss black details including mirrors,ed30 front splitter, Roof panel and more. Oh and we also decided to fit a new set of wheels to give the car a really fresh look. Let us know what you think..

OK so we didn’t get the whole job finished in the 3 day deadline we set ourselves due to waiting for the gearbox to come back from rebuilding…
In our last post we had completed the preparation in the engine bay, we had also fitted the new peddle box, Gear shifter and wiring loom. This last part of the project was inserting the engine coupled with wiring everything up and bleeding all the fluids through. After fighting with the shifter tower for a while Im pleased to say that Ben turned the key and the engine fired into life straight away. Happy Days, tomorrow is shake down, set the timing and fuelling and then wash/wax the car ready for a Saturday collection. OK so not quite 3 days but 4 and a bit to do a full conversion to a factory level with everything working and running in the region of 250bhp isn’t that bad is it…?
