Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV

I’ve kinda gone off Top Gear recently. It’s all a bit scripted and contrived. But it’s still shot really well and this ten minute clip of Lambo’s amazing Murci LP670-4 Superveloce is definitely worth checking out over your lunch. Sick, sick, SICK!!! Imagine running one as a daily!

Winterjam Bikini Contest = WIN!

Here in England, we just don’t seem to have an abundance of high quality girls that want to wear not-a-lot in front of loads of people. In The America, however, they do. This is clearly a good thing. I like this. AWOL is a project that the Wagenwerks guys are involved in, so it goes without saying that the editing and video-type stuff is bang-on. You’ll have to go to their site HERE to view the video. Just watching the scantily-clad girls basking in the sunshine makes me want summer to come, like… NOW!

Parra x Patta x Nike Air Max 1

The other day, my friend Tarl said, ‘I really need the new Nike Air Max Parras in my life’. ‘I’m not really into black Nikes,’ I said. ‘Nah mate, they’re purple’, he responded. I didn’t know he was talking about the new Parra x Patta x Nike Air Max 1 shoe that’s gonna be dropping at Patta (a super-cool sneaker store in Amsterdam) this Saturday (13/03/10). The last Parra x Nike Air Max 1 was really dark and I took a pass, but these… these are super-dope. Check out the detail shots. I think the mixture of materials that make up the burgundy upper, including rich suede, nylon, and even chenille, teamed-up with the white midsole and wild colours on the outsole, make this a killer shoe. The white bright laces scream summer as well. Tarl, I salute your sneaker choice – now all you have to do is get a pair! Apparently, as well as Patta, a handful of exclusive Nike stores across the globe will be serving up this shoe on Saturday too – 1948 in Shoreditch being one of them. So good luck!

Flat back or whack?

I’ve had a thing for flat, or satin black, for a quite a while now. Okay, it’s not exactly innovative, but when executed properly, flat black cars snap necks left, right and centre. This Lamborghini caught my eye a few weeks ago and has been lurking on my desktop ever since. I just cannot stop looking at it!

Granted, it’s a Lambo, so it’s kinda got a jump on most rides already. But it does look extra tough with the flat black wrap. Apparently it’s also got a nasty yellow interior, which ruins the whole ‘Murdered’ effect. Some would argue that this satin black ‘fad’ is getting a little played out now. Maybe this is the case for people that are seriously into the tuning scene, but to the average person on the street, flat black is still a super-cool look. Personally, I still haven’t got this out of my system and I really like the idea of rolling in a Murdered Out ride this Summer. What do you think: Flat black or whack?

Mk5 R32 werk

Having been previously been in for work including Kw coilovers, Rs4 brakes, Schrick cams, Software updates etc. This booking was purely for cosmetic reasons. The wheels having taken a bit of a beating from the shocking potholes the winter weather seems to of thrown at us and some small damage to the O/S front arch deemed that some well deserved paintwork was required from our sister company “Paintwerks” After all the paint work had been completed all that was required was a refit and a good valet to await collection from the customer.

Check back soon for more big power upgrades.

MK5 Golf Rocking Maybach 57s

A few weeks ago we had a customer walk through the door wielding a set of maybach 57s at us screaming, “make them red! Make them red!” Who were we to argue! Our newly opened paintshop “Paintwerks” got straight on with the task in hand, whilst I got on the blower to H&R for some large adapters to help with the fitting of these bad boys. A week or so later Chris arrived back at G-werks for the fitting and I think you will agree ending up with something looking rather special.

The cars had already been treated to a set of our AP coilovers and on the cards in the future will be a very trick paint job and a special interior and perhaps some added AIR.
Watch this space for future updates on this car.

Ben Chandler, this is your time…

Yesterday, we were wondering who we could commandeer into guest blogging for the month of March. We’ve worked together quite a bit with Fast Car Magazine over the last year, so it seemed right to get one of their team involved with the G-werks blog. Please allow us to introduce their Professional Idiot and full-time Reviews Editor, Mr Ben Chandler. When he’s not flying around the World looking at girls and talking to cars, Ben can be found writing stuff at Fast Car or buying more cars that don’t work!

Having said that, Ben’s been responsible for building a scene-leading Saxo and owned a selection of crazy cars including a 550bhp Skyline and a ridiculous Cannonball pleasing Aristo. His current project is an off-the-wall Mk3 VR6, which we built at the back end of last year. Expect to see this at some forthcoming shows with a very colourful engine and a radical interior.

The self-confessed car addict will be bringing you some fresh stories and an insight into his mental mind over the next 4 weeks. Welcome to the G-werks blog Ben, smash the place to bits!!!

Oh hai Paint-werks!!!

Hands have been shaken, ink has hit paper and we can now announce to the whole world wide interwebz, that Paint-werks is officially open for business. Well, actually… we kinda opened yesterday. This is actually old news!!! Please forgive us though, because we’ve just been super-busy working at the shop and getting cars ready for Ultimate Dubs. What has actually happened is this; Carl Taylor (Players co-founder) and Darren Bennett (G-werks Boss Man) have taken over the body shop which is conveniently located next door to G-werks HQ. Don’t worry though, Darren’s not gonna be giving up spannering and Carl’s not quitting his day job(male model and escort). Nope, Paint-werks will be headed up by Chris Batterick, or ‘The Stig’ as we like to call him. Chris has painted many show cars and most recently Carl’s PVW cover star, the ‘Back to ‘95′ Salsa Green Colour Concept Mk3. He knows his stuff, that’s a real-life fact. This coupled with G-werks and Carl’s passion for creating jaw-dropping cars, will result in Paint-werks providing a superb level of service and outside of the box thinking. So please feel free to give us a call for all of your paint werk needs – big, small, insurance work, or a full-on balls-deep project – we’ll make sure you get a killer job for a killer price. Call us on 07584 040986 or e-mail us on info@paintwerks.co.uk for further info. Holy moly, mate… this is gonna be BIG!!!
Ben.
